Well, the 2009 Quiksilver King of the Peak event went down in windy conditions again this year, but unlike last year the temperatures were well above 60 degrees and the sun was out for the final day.
There was great surfing going on during this very unique formatted surf contest and after two days Eddie Guilbeau emerged with the most skin wins and the coveted crown.
Christian Surfers had the only other tent on the beach during the entire event and had an opportunity to serve God and through serving the surfers while providing Matt Kechele with a go to person if he needed anything. We also provided Matt with security Sunday night and manpower both days with set up, break down and moving any equipment and banners.

Special thanks go out to Trenton Grizzard who was there both days and slept out in the tent for security. Also, the Sadowski family came out to provide security. It was a real witness to Matt how committed Christians are, and we want to thank you so much.
Next up, the Volcom event on Dec. 5th. This will be the same day as our monthly event and this is Volcoms largest event on the east coast and they say it is about 3 times as large as the Quiksilver event. See you all then.
